We are now looking for an Engineering Manager to Telia Finance IT!

Your next opportunity
Telia Finance is a relatively small Credit Marketing company within the big Telia Company Group. The IT department in Telia Finance is covering everything from Web Portals to BI and Data Lake and has an important stake and impact on the future business of Telia Finance.
My name is Erik Björk, and I have just started my job as Head of IT in Telia Finance. I will launch a new organizational setup during 2022, where one of the new key roles will be the Engineering manager for B2B.
In the Telia Finance IT unit, you will work with continuous improvements towards more efficient IT delivery, building in-house competence, starting up our DevOps journey as well as challenging our Ways of Working. Does this sound like something that might interest you? Keep reading!
The role
As Engineering Manager, you will be leading 3 agile teams in the B2B domain of Telia Finance, consisting of approximately 10-15 employees and consultants. Your co-workers are Software Engineers, Scrum Master, and Architects with great experience and knowledge in the Finance domain. You will also be a member of the Telia Finance IT management team where you will have a great opportunity to influence all important decisions that we need to make to take us closer to our wanted success state aiming at continuous delivery in all domains, our software department working with modern Technology Solution and Telia Finance being the preferred financing partner for Telia.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Leading your Teams and making sure that our solutions are scalable, maintainable, and architecturally sound
- Steer your Teams in our just started DevOps journey and make sure our applications are running 24/7
- Grow and motivate our team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, inspiring feedback, and hands-on personal career development
- Lead according to modern, agile, and DevOps software development practices and help create good engineering and organizational practices
- Co-operate with other technology areas on large-scale deliveries
- Play a key role in helping Telia Finance continue attracting, developing, and retaining great engineering talent.
We believe that you have
- Experience leading engineering teams preferably in a cloud-based environment
- Experience from Software organizations, working closely together with many stakeholders
- Relevant bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or computer science
- Interest to follow new agile frameworks and tech trends
- You possess a deep understanding of how to translate product and business goals into maintainable technical solutions
- Strong track record of driving delivery of software with high availability expectations / SLAs
- Proven Servant Leadership experience within a number of Improvements / Transformations in your current/previous positions
- Fluent in Swedish as well as English
